Controllers not working in BF2042

I cannot get my DS5 controller to work in BF2042. The controls are all messed up and the aim doesn't work proper. I even tried a DS4 controller and 8bitdo. This is using the EA Games launcher. I tried all the solutions like run as admin and add to steam and nothing works.
