Direct x crash

So everytime I play bf 2042, I play for like 15-20 mins (sometimes more) and then my game crashes and shows this message. Yes my drivers are updated and i've already cleared cache. Someone please help.

  • This error is usually caused by an unstable hardware component. It could be caused by the CPU, GPU, or RAM being unstable.

Try disabling any CPU, GPU, or RAM overclocking. For example disable XMP RAM overclocking in BIOS and see if the game stops crashing.

If you have a 13th or 14th gen Intel CPU they're known to have manufacturing defects that cause the CPU to be unstable. Upgrading to the latest motherboard BIOS version may help stabilize the CPU.

There's RAM test apps such as HCI MemTest for testing RAM memory for errors. Some memory testing apps are better at detecting errors. I've had good success with HCI MemTest.

    Hey there RickGrimez2157

This may be similar to an issue that another player here on the forums was encountering: Anyone else getting DirectX errors

The OP of that thread was able to resolve this by rolling back to the GeForce Game Ready Driver 566.36.

Could you give this a try and let us know if you continue to run into the same issue?

    Hey again RickGrimez2157

Just wanting to check in and see if you were able to resolve the issue or if you're still running into DirectX errors?
