directx crash
Product: Battlefield 2042 Platform:PC Please specify your platform model. PC AMD or Nvidia Model Number Nvidia 1080ti Enter RAM memory size in GB 32gb Are you using any software with an overlay...
Ok, restoring went much cleaner this time. no idea why... only difference was installing everything on same partition as OS.
But the crash is identical... So that rules out pretty much anything OS/other app/service related... all i installed after installing windows was chrome and EA/BF.
did all memory tests and those are fine...
So the only things it could be are game, driver or hardware. Since so many other people are reporting the same problem with new and more modern GPUs, wouldn't that point to driver/game?
If I'm gonna go spend $3k to upgrade GPU and everything to support a new GPU... I wanna be 100% sure that's gonna do it.
Ah, this error is a bit different now...
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET
"This is a run-time issue"
I'm having this exact same issue, tried everything but nothing works.
My PC specs are:
GPU: RTX 3050
CPU: Intel Core i3 12100
Motherboard: MSI PRO B660M-A WIFI DDR4
Power supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 GT 650W 80+ Gold
RAM: Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2x16GB 3600
Storage: Kingston NV2 1TB M.2 SSD & Sandisk 1TB SSD
Running on Windows 11.
@240garage Interesting, and huge bummer, given you just bought all that.
My stuff is all 5 yrs old, so dying hardware seems more plausible. But if we have the same issues, age is not a common thread.
Only flaw I can find in how I put this thing together is that I used the pigtail power on GPU like this. https://www.techoverwrite.com/gpu-pigtailed-pcie-cables/
I'm gonna try switching it up today.
Did you do the same?
Do you have a link you can share that describes what you did/why?
is it that the CPU needs to get 'synchronized with ram?
Thanks dude
