dx error

Hi,

Ive been having trouble after the Season 1 update where there have been a often error with the game where would crash with a dx error and gpu hang message. I'm here to find any fixes but anything I try does not work.

I have tried:

DDU

verifying files
going to older drivers
underclocking (temporarily makes the game last slightly longer)
overclocking
turning off all overlays
disable fullscreen optimisation
lowered graphic settings
chkdsk
scannow
set dx12 to 1 in PROFSAVE_profile and set to 0
disabling background services such as Discord and Logitech G hub.
 
If anyone has a fix please help.

    Hi @beansV7, that's related majority of the time with GPU drivers. I recommend trying older versions.

    @beansV7 This solved my Directx Error issue where it indicates I have an error with the address "PipelineLibraryPcDx12.cpp".

    The way to fix the PipelineLibary error is changing the MachineGuid to d1eb246e-6243-4460-a88e-5d4e52b1ef6b.

    Windows key + R, then enter regedit.

    Under LOCAL_MACHINE, find Microsoft, then Cryptography.

    Under Cryptography you will find MachineGuid, make sure you back up ur original MachineGuid before changing, then enter the one provided above.

    This resolved my issue.

    Hi, I cannot find my microsoft file under LOCAL_MACHINE and Cryptography in my regedit but I have found I think a solution for myself where you delete all files connected to 2042 like the documents, cashe and everything. then uninstall the game to do a total clean reinstall and I also reverted my driver (amd) to 21.11.2 and for now its working today.

    I tried the pipeline error fix but after that it just started to instant crash on launch, do you change the "machineguid" name or modify the value data?

    Hi @beansV7, could you try to run 2042 as admin and see if that helps.

    Also worth try a new windows account with Admin rights and see if that helps.
