Re: [INFO] BF2042 Patch 8.8 (May 27) – Secure Boot Requirement for Supported Systems

Since the last Battlefield 2042 8.8.0 update I am unable to play the game that I paid FULL PRICE for when it came out and have spent hundreds of hours of my life (that I will never get back) playing. Just because my motherboard will not support TPM 2.0 which EA has just made it a requirement to be able to play a game that I have been playing for years. They could have just left the game alone and waited for Battlefield 6 for this to be a requirement. This is ridiculous and EA needs to fix the problem or refund hundreds of thousands people that this new update has STOLEN FROM US. Everyone that cannot play now (and HAVE PAID FOR THIS GAME) because of this update, please file a complaint with EA and demand a refund. This is theft!!

It sucks, but it's also just honestly part of the downside of PC gaming. Windows 11 FORCES tpm and secure boot, and 10 goes away in what like 4 months.

Just like how a new release or even sometimes expansion of a game requires upgrades, we're just kinda stuck here too. Wouldn't blame you for the frustration but they aren't out there to rip you off it's just them trying to make the game secure from cheating and this is the byproduct for PC bros.

lNAPPROPRlATE  copied text has to be pasted as plain text. If getting HTML errors, select all the text in your post, copy it, then paste it as plain text.

Sometimes blue hyperlinkswill cause HTML errors. It's best to paste those as plain text too. The | text symbol in hyperlinks causes HTML errors.

I can help you with @mentions on mobile devices if it's still not working
