Had no issues up until today, played for a few hours had everything work as usual. Few hours past came back to play, can't be within the menus or playing the game for more than 10 minutes without it crashing. Crash gives me zero indication as to why, no error message at all. I had to check my event viewer and seen this. "The description for Event ID 1 from source Application cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: EAAntiCheatServiceExitType: 115 (254) The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table" Steps I've taken are as follows, Made sure EAC wasn't being blocked by firewall. Deleted all files for EAC and reinstalled EAC, nothing worked. Uninstalled BF2042 and deleted all associated files, reinstalled nothing worked. Randomly started a few hours ago. @Onlybans21 We deployed an update to EA anticheat to resolve the issue you were seeing. I'm not at liberty to discuss specifics.

@off3nc3 EA anticheat updates independently of the game, so you wouldn't see an update in the EA app.It would've automatically downloaded the update the next time you launch the game while you see the Battlefield 2042 splash screen.

@Onlybans21Same thing for me , did everything you listed and nothing helps really , I even had a full system freeze that required a manual restart with an event log called :

" The hypervisor did not enable mitigations for side channel vulnerabilities for virtual machines because HyperThreading is enabled. To enable mitigations for virtual machines, disable HyperThreading."

I had lots of issues with this game mainly because of the 13900k CPU i run but after i undervolted and downclocked and removed XMP profiles I never had any issues with this game until today.

Everytime I boot the game after playing for 2-3-5 minutes i get crashed to desktop no error message just event viewer with log "EAAntiCheatService
ExitType: 115 (254).

It's on their end.

I saw another post and they went in the EA/AC folder and deleted the three associated EAC files in there and this user said they haven't ran into any issues since then. I tried the same, just had the game crash on me again same error. This also does not work.

@Onlybans21 They need to get an update to hotfix this mess , if they have any devs left taking care of this game that is.

Tried a few more things, nothing works. I've seen people have gone as far as reinstalling Windows completely, I will definitely not be doing that. At this point the game has become unplayable till EA fixes this.

EA ANTICHEAT 115
Ya got some processes running that arent white list by EA ANTI CHEAT.
For example , controller software

ds4windows is triggering Anticheat !
Probarly rewasd and joytokey also !ds4windows is triggering Anticheat !
Game Patchers ect ect ect ect

Yeah, none of this applies to me no other applications were installed or being used. Its been the same since I've played this game since launch.

@Rokebo73 Yeah, DS4Windows and other software emulators for input are not allowed. That hasn't changed, the DS4Windows and similar software updated to try and evade our blocks, and we've updated again accordingly.

As all modern versions of Windows can support gamepads without this software, there's no reason we need to allow them, and on the contrary, they are used often for cheating.

Please let me know as soon as possible, I was playing this past weekend & this morning without any issues. After stepping away for a few hours I come back and I've tried pretty much everything. I refuse to reinstall windows however because that just doesn't make sense to do so.
