Easy anti-cheat launches twice but Bf2042 never runs

Easy Anti-cheat just runs twice and closes after a slight delay and then nothing happens. Bf2042 does not launch. Also there is no Errors showing so I am unable to understand why it is happening. This almost started happening after season 3 update before that I have same issue but got resolved by downgrading Ge-force Drivers. But now that also doesn't work. I tried Running Bf2042 exe in Admin perm but still was not able to launch. Tried reinstalling Easy Anti cheat and repairing it with given exe in root folder. Also tried to move Bf2042 folder from documents to desktop to check if that works. But none of it is working.

@Luc1dNightmare hey I fixed it ..seems like it was my firewall giving issue so I just cleared whole cache of Firewall located in Appdata/local and the just run sfc command to fix corrupt files and lastly I ran sfc verify command and restarted machine. All working perfectly..atleast for now🤣
Anyway thanks a lot for helping out with this. cheers!!

  • Did you check the "Event View" for windows?  Also i had to run EVERYTHING as admin including Steam and Origin to get rid of the error.  You can also try straight deleting the whole Documents folder.  It will reset your settings but might be worth a try.  And sometimes reinstalling old drivers isn't enough and you have to use DDU to completely remove any files that may have been corrupted.

@Luc1dNightmare I am not sure about Event view but yes I have all the exe files set to admin and have also deleted documents folder but still no success. Though I will give old drivers a try as you mentioned. will update here.

Also allot of people are having CPU issues, but i have always had very high CPU usage and temps are 60c without issue but i have been struggling with some issue the game is having with the RAM.  I eventually had to turn off XMP to get the game to run correctly but it is definitely BF 2042 not my PC.  Have you monitored your CPU usage and RAM?  I didnt see a problem directly with RAM usage but it seems to be the issue.

@Luc1dNightmare Yeah I have seen slight bump up in cpu usage while playing but never had ram issue. It played well till after update for like 3 to 4 rounds and then it just shut down the game suddenly and when I tried to reopen game at first it gave me black box in top left corner which I have to force quit ..then saw someones post to install game in diff directory which worked and I played like 6 hrs almost without error but now it just suddenly stop working again. Now I have almost reinstalled game 5 times with doing everything given on others post but it still does the same. Opens EAC twice and just nothing.

The system cannot find the file specified." I am trying to find if any post following it ..if you know anything let me know

Ive seen someone mention having to make sure you turn on admin privilege's first thing on windows boot as soon as your pc goes on.  Dont know why but it might matter.  Also try doing ALL the fixes at the same time and not one or the other.  IE start pc run admin then delete Documents Folder as soon as you start up and after do another restart and then try again.  I have found with other games applying a few fixes here and there sometimes doesn't work but you need to do all of them at once then restart before trying to run the game.  Also what application are you using??  I own the game on Steam but i was having issues like this and i deleted Origin and Uninstalled it from Steam and Downloaded it to EA app and my Anti Cheat error is gone now without the need to run as admin.  It doesn't seem to need Steam to run even though i bought it there.
