To check, have you tried the following steps?
- Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from
- Steam - Verify in your library
- EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- Close other running applications on your device
- Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Check Drivers, Default to High-Performance GPU: Troubleshooting Graphics issues
- Restart your device in Clean Boot mode, then just try running the client and game
I did all of the steps above. What I have also tried: Adding ea/ea launcher/battlefield/steam folders as an exception to firewall, reinstalling game/steam/ea app, running game as an administrator, turning off Control Flow Guard, removing OneDrive. The only clue is that after steam game files validation it always finds 3 files to be recovered.

Seems account related as I have the similar issues since I linked my Steam and EA and Xbox accounts. Wish EA had a fix.
My account was working for a few days and was displaying my old name Suppositori but now my account name changed back to P4TT0N and Battlefield stopped working.

HOW to FIX this Error Code 1:860001S:66003S:4688822970:0B
- Goto Manage Game & Addons.
- Click on Saved Data.
- Delete Reserved Data, note this will not delete anything that you need to play the game or in your profile.
- Restart the game and i am sure this will have worked.
Please note this is for xbox, but i am sure if yous can find it for PS and PC it be the same thing thats wrong, because its the same code i got abit back and also again over this weekend 24-5-2025 with the laggy servers.
Like i said above it does NOT remove anything you need, sometimes files get screwed up, on the restart of the game it puts them back in the right place.. sorry i am not a computer nerd for the right name of the files etc, in xbox its a 4.0GB Reserved Space.

If you're on ps5 go to settings ->storage->saved data and delete the save file for battlefield 2042
Hey everyone, I got off chat with EA and this worked for me.
1) Turn off your PS5 completely (not Rest Mode).
Unplug it from power for 30 seconds.
Plug it back in and restart2) Follow the below steps to restore the licenses: Go to Settings > Account Management > Restore Licenses.
Select Restore and wait until the operation has been completed and try accessing your content again.3) Follow the below steps to update the system software: Go to Settings > System > System Software > System Software Update and Settings > Update System Software. Select Update Using Internet >> Follow the below steps to rebuild the database. Make sure your PS5 system software is up to date. Turn your console all the way off (not just Rest Mode). Boot the console in Safe Mode. Press and hold the Power Button for seven seconds (release when you hear the second beep). Connect a DualSense controller to the PS5 with a USB cable. Select the option to “Rebuild Database”
I did all these steps and it resolved the issue. best of luckIt is a disgrace that we are in the year of 2025 and WHEN I BUY A 70DOLLAR GAME I CANT F...ING PLAY IT !!!!! what the f is wrong with gaming that we cant just PLAY the games that we buy on launch ??

Have tried. Connecting to phone Hotspot. Deleting the game. Rebooting the console. Unplugging. Rebuilding. Restore license. Changing dns option. Nothing works on my son's account jgurnzey only my account works gurnzey_

I suggest all of you check your account for a ban. I have this same one and was banned for enhancing gameplay with my whole 1.2 KD and barely any play time since I have kids and all. Waste of money at this point I guess. I appealed it by guarantee I'm just going to get told to deal with it as they always do with some nonsensical copy and paste. I legit did absolutely nothing wrong. I play on PC. I use my ps5 controller. I stream it to discord so an alliance I'm in on another game can watch while we chit chat. They SEE me getting my **bleep** handed to me some matches. I can't stress how pissed I am about this. It's absolutely ridiculous.
