Game causes Bluescreen PC-Crash

"I need Help!"

EA Support could not help & recommended the Forum

Product: Battlefield 2042
Platform: PC - WIN 10-64 Pro
PC Model: PC Special Order
MoBo: ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-F GAMING

CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K

GPU: NVIDIA MANLI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti

ROM: 1TB Samsung SSD 960 PRO M.2 + 4TB SSD LEXAR 790

RAM: HyperX 3200 MHz 64 GB (4x16)
Software with an overlay: No
Part of the game is the issue happening: All, after 5 – 50 minutes

Which part of the mode: ALL

Please select your region: Europe
When did this start: Game Crash since April. PC Crash for over a month
Summarize your bug: Game crashes followed by a PC Bluescreen Crash

How often does the bug occur: Always after 5 – 50 minutes
Steps: How the bug can be identified: After Crash & PC restart, in Steam, R-Mouse click on Game/Properties/Installed Files/Verify this Game's Files are Installed correctly/Verify Integrity of Game Files... The Validating Result every time: 3 Files failed to validate and will be reacquired. The Game is automatically updated with ca. 30MB

What happens when the bug occurs: Crashes straight to the desktop immediately followed by a Bluescreen PC Crash! CrashDump MDMP File is created in C:\Users\OneDrive\Dokuments\Battlefield 2042\CrashDumps
What should be happening instead? No PC or Game Crashing

Remarks: To exclude any Hardware or GPU cause, I am not having that Problem with all other Games (DCS - IL2 - War Thunder - Wolfenstein Youngblood - Rise of the Tomb Raider)

Why is the CrashDump MDMP File not uploadable?

  • @BiBa59 Ya could post dmp file if ya zip/rar it.
Did try game without all the other hardware connected to your system?

Only keep 1 mouse, 1 keyboard, 1 headset and only 1 monitor connected.
Disconnect all the other usb hardware and monitors. , disconnect usb hardware in windows. then reboot system and test game (do not connect the hardware till ya tested the game).

Did ya update bios and load optimized defaults? Youre intel uhd intergrated gpu is enabled (disable it) , did ya set any other bios settings ?

    Cheers
  • ZIP file rejected as unsupported extension type.

    I've already tried without Hardware.

The same problem is also occurring in BFV.

I'm also getting the same Validating Result every time:

3 Files failed to validate and will be reacquired. The Game is automatically updated with ca. 30MB

Is it not obvious that after each PC Crash ALWAYS 3 Files are corrupted?

Why is there no connection between Steam & EA to be informed about those issues?

Is there a way to find out which Files are getting screwed?

@BiBa59 They're not corrupted, they're just different than what was shipped with the game, by design.

EA anticheat self-updates independently of the game. The repair process just downgrades your EA anticheat version to the one that shipped with that game patch, and then updates to latest again.

Can you DM me the crash dumps, please?

    Thanks!

What do you mean by: "DM the crash dumps"?

The system refuses the upload of MDMP- and of ZIP-files
