Game Crashes after Couple Minutes Lifting CPU to 100% after matchmaking

PC (Steam), Ryzen 5 5600x, rtx 3060, 16gb ram, windows 11.

Game crashes consistently on match start/loading screen with high cpu usage and freeze. I  have already: Verfied files, updated/rolled back drivers (I have 200 hrs on the game so), reinstalled the game, tried clean boot + safe mode, disabled overlays, and used Windbg -> isGlimpseEnabled crash with INVALID_POINTER_WRITE error.

  • FIRST OF ALL, MAKING BELOW CHANGES MIGHT COMPROMISE YOUR SYSTEM INTEGRITY. DONT MAKE THESE CHANGES GLOBALY BUT ONLY FOR THE BF2042 EXECUTABLE! Something about the anti-cheat (which is at kernel level) is causing Windows to prevent certain actions and making the game crash.

I've found out that disabling "Randomize memory allocations (Bottom-up ASLR)" fixed my issue. The other options are not needed in my case, and for security reasons made sure I had them enabled immediately. See below screenshot for instructions. ONLY DISABLE THE BOTTOM-UP ASLR OPTION! I've removed other options from below screenshot.

  • Try deleting these DX12 shader cache folders.

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\BattlefieldGameData.kin-release.Win32\cache

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\BattlefieldGameData.kin-live.Win32\cache

Doing this got me a little further, but still ended up crashing/freezing

Almost same system as the OP but 32GB RAM and identical issue here.

  • Im also having the same issue, this started when Secure Boot needed to be enabled.
After couple of minutes CPU goes 100%, freezes and after a couple minutes closes.

Dump gives same output with INVALID_POINTER_WRITE error.

Removed said "cache" folders but this doesn't change anything.
