Game crashing often on PC since Season 3 update

The week prior to Season 3 I played a lot, with maybe 1 crash.  Since the season 3 update, I have been crashing every 1 to 2 games.  I would say that on average every 4th match can be played all the ...

    Hey everyone, 

    I see a lot of posts from players admitting that they have overclocked or undervolted their system etc. and are now experiencing crashes since the launch of the Season 3 update.

    It is recommended to undo any overclock (XMP, RAM, CPU or GPU) or undervolt to see if you still experience the crashes or not.

    If you still experience crashes and you no longer have overclocked or undervolted etc. your PC, please let us know in this thread.

Summarize your bug The game slows down, then the fps starts bugging out and crashes. This happens on the newest map.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Boot up game 2. Load into spearhead (full match) 3. Play around until it crashes, but it doesn't happen all the time.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game slows down (server side) and causes my client fps to bog down, and if it recovers the fps stutters until it full crashes.
What should be happening instead? The game should be able to run smoothly at 100fps on low settings with the same hardware.

After the update for season 4 (3.0.0.) I have been experiencing crashes on the newest map, every so often the server will slow down, creating a some sort of networking smoothing issue, the later on the fps will start slowing down and it will immediately crash after that. However, if the server recovers, and the FPS recovers the game will stutter thereafter. This has happened to me 7 times in the last 2 days.

I have tried multiple fixes, such as:

  1. Redownloading the game
  2. Redownloading DXR drivers
  3. Redownloading EA app
  4. Clearing cashe folder

However, neither have worked.

    To add to this, my game crashed on discarded and it mentioned something called resizable buffers.

    @ttvDaysVFX  Check for updated drivers for your system. (i see drivers from 2006 upto 2022)
    Disable your VAC before ya start gaming. Also there is an Ati AMD RADEON software issue !!!

    Download latest drivers , also look for windows updates and healt check:
    SFC - Windows Health Check

    Press Windows key + 'R' ,typ CMD
    Press and hold down CTRL + SHIFT and press ENTER.
    When User Account Control shows up, click Yes.
    Use the following command lines, pressing Enter after each
    (make sure you wait till each of the commands is executed properly):

    sfc /scannow
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    reboot and use only SFC /SCANNOW , to check if there are still any errors ! no more error, follow steps below !!!!

    After updating system with drivers from your MB website . use this tool for latest drivers

    SYSTEM DRIVERS AND CHIPSET UPDATE

    Check the Youtube movie how to install , download and update ALL drivers.

    Open the web browser and enter url: https:\\www.drivereasy.com
    Click at Driver Update Tool in the upper bar and select Download Free Version.
    Click at the green button with the text DOWNLOAD DRIVER EASY NOW.
    When tool is downloaded select the file and run.
    Install Driver Easy Tool.

    Some drivers updates need to reboot your system, reboot system when needed,
    continue using Driver Easy untill 'ALL' drivers are updated.
    This free version allows only 1 download and 1 update at once.
    Reboot your system

    Sometimes windows does already exist to long at your boot drive and got "dirty" , then a repair/update could help or even a full complete fresh install ! (dont forget to check for windows updates and drivers updates after rep[air / fresh install)

    If those steps didnt solve your issues , then lets check if any othert background software is cause of issues. Do a cleanboot:

    Reboot pc by a clean boot:

    Hide all Microsoft services, DISABLE (uncheck) ALL other processes, apps and services !

    Cleanboot is just a one time clean boot ! Next reboot all will be reset and a normal boot will be occure.
    Use msconfig to disable apps permanent each for new reboot.
    DISABLE ALL other processes, apps and services from booting with windows, check instructions below:
    Use the keyboard shortcut “Windows Key + R” and the “Run” window will open.
    In the text box, typ MSCONFIG and press Enter or OK and the MsConfig window will open".
    Select the tab STARTUP , and disable apps/programs by right click at them!
    Those disabled apps will no longer boot with Windows , till ya set them enabled again !

    PS test game with only 1 monitor , 1 mouse , 1 keyboard , 1 headset connected to you pc
    DISCONNECT ALL OTHER HARDWARE , just to test game !!

    please update us !
