Game Crashing

My game, I can stay in the main screen all day long, but the second I load into a match the game crashes. My computer has a I9 14900KF, 64Gb DDR5 and a 4090. It is the only game that has the issue, does anyone know a fix? I have tried multiple basic stuff verifying game files, update gcard, bios etc. With nothing solving please advise?

  • @xfodxnightmareTry downlocking your CPU to eg 4500MHz for all Performance cores either via the motherboard bios menu or eg Intel's XTU tool.

My 14900K is happy at 5400Mhz at 1.25 Volts. I

If I leave all CPU settings on auto the CPU boosts way higher frequencies but is way more unstable...

@ATCleeghoofd indeed , some intel cpu get way over some voltage and mhz value thats makes them unstable.
This is a known issue with certain batch of those 13th and 14th gen CPU's.
  • I applied the same stability trick on AM4 platform with my friends PC gaming rigs... two of them had shutdowns alike an Over Current Protection kicking in...  on mainstream ASUS B550 motherboards

Battlefield 2042 is a real power hog, some boards/CPUs/cooling don't appreciate it
