Game not loading

Question

I am trying to play Battlefield 2042. I have tried several things and at this point believe the issue down to the nvidia driver but not 100% sure. Let me explain some.

Asus G751jm.
Intel i7 4710HQ
12 GB ram
Samsung SSD 870 EVO
Nvidia Geforce 860M

Fresh install of windows 10 64 bit, updated with latest game ready drivers.
Fresh install of 2042.
Launch game and gets stuck at the first splash screen and freezes whole computer. One time even got blue screen with "dpc watchdog violation".
Updated from 496.76 to 496.98 hotfix driver.
Launch game, gets past the first splash screen but freezes whole computer at the next screen.

The reason I do believe it to be the nvidia driver is until I updated to 496.98 driver, I could never get past the splash screen no matter how many times I tried. It is only after I updated to the hotfix driver that I got past the splash screen.

I have not been able to play the game, not even once since buying it. Again, I am not sure if it is the nvidia driver or the game causing this problem.

You actually don't want the game to start. My lowest end pc has i7 6700, 16gb ddr4 ram and 980 gtx. even at 720p lowest setting the game ran like crap.&nbsp;

It happens to me very long time ago when everyone was playing Battlefield 3. When I launch the game only what I could see was black screen or first splash screen. @plfrost22 I appreciate what you THINK you know, BUT THIS BUG HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE REQUIREMENTS!!!!!

2nd, the CPU is more then adequate to handle it.
I do agree the GPU is semi-weak, but when comparing benchmarks, the 860m and the 1050 is not much different.
RAM, you just assume the speed of my RAM. How do you know if I dont have better RAM?
