Game starts in windowed mode, suspicions of false full screen activation

I think I have the same exact issue. My game starts in a window, after I press Alt+Enter few times it opens full screen. But, all notifications minimize my window, I also see Caps lock notification every time I click the button (I use caps to sprint), which shouldn't happen with a true full screen mode. 

Is there a fix for this? Pretty annoying. Only happens in BF2042, none of the other games exhibit this behavior

5900x, 32gb ddr4, 4080.
