Had an issue with shadowplay recording in low res years ago, turns out nvidia records bf at the starting resolution and bf changes resolution twice.
This may be related here, to fix i had to set the profsave_profile width/heights to what i wanted and also do this:

Same issue... often goes back to a lower resolution when I boot it up. Think I'll just give up for a bit because this game is just a bundle of stress...
