Game unplayable (significant lag/stuttering) after 4.1 update (help)

Game unplayable after 4.1 update. Mouse lag, constant stuttering, game lagging to the point its like playing in slow motion. 140 hours played perfectly fine and with no settings changed it is now ...

12700K, 10GB 3080, 32GB DDR4 RAM 34 inch widescreen

Regardless of any in game option changes, i can only get between 40-80fps when playing BF2042. No issue on any other game.

Low, Medium, Ultra, DLSS on/off, any setting can't get more than 80fps in game. On menus it will bounce between 90-280fps.  

Tried all the recommended tweaks on youtube and other forums. No dice (pun intended). 

Any hints?
