Hitting a Wall

When I am in 2042, my ping escalates to over 5000.  Ran a trace and these are the results

First Request Timed Out was when the issue began.  The second Request Timed Out was a complete disconnect. I lose WiFi on my PC when this happens.  I reconnect when I use Task Manager to close 2042 and the Origin Portal.

No other PC in the house disconnected from WiFi and this only happens in Battlefield. 

HELP!!!!!!!!

    EDIT

    1. I have a tower, not a laptop
    2. PC is located where a E cable cannot access
    3. Cox Router.  Even rebooted it, problem exists.  I have a friend who has cox, doesnt have the problem
    4. If this was an issue, it would have happened long ago

    Had my PC guy check my system.  We ran all sorts of hardware diags, Speed testing, Adware and virus scans. 

    The only change is the release of missions this Tuesday.    I cannot be sure but I think there may have been date sensitive code that went active that may be the issue.

    Hey @Padding_Ur_Stats,

    If you haven't read the thread, but you have linked it, it might be worth reading the steps that another player described in the thread. It could very well be the case that your router is having the same issue(s), for example.

    @Padding_Ur_Stats, I see that you also replied in this thread. Are you experiencing connection issues, such as in unable to connect to the servers altogether, or a high ping when playing?

  • @EA_Leeuw Both happens. Ping elevates. Clock in the corner hits 5800+. Sometimes it goes back down, others result in a DC.

    When this occurs, anything else I have that may be running locks. I have to use Task Manager to close BF. When I close, everything else runs fine.

    Apex Legends runs fine.
