I have to open bf2042 twice everytime i open it or i cant play because it opens the game but i get to the intro cinematic but it has no message of connecting or something like that. I have to close it and then reopen it and then it works, how can i fix this.

Any new updates on this? I have it on Steam, and every time I have to launch the game twice in order to work.
Did got same issue , but i did download and reinstall BF2042 that solved the issue for me !
Dont forget to delete everything thats is bf2042 related in all folders (also in the hidden folders)

I've had this problem for the last few months and after the latest windows update it now opens on the first try.
Yes this is the same issue i have to deal with!
First time opening does not connect to servers, close and then open a second time and it connects!
