If you have Webroot SecureAnywhere installed, BF2042 will not run due to a conflict with the new version of EAC. The only solution is a complete uninstall of SecureAnywhere or wait for a Webroot patch (I have already contacted them.
- @MasterBlaster73 It was Webroot that was not letting my game launch at all but it's weird because it wasn't doing that before I don't understand why out of nowhere it started doing it.
The BF2021 patch included an updated version of EAC. Webroot did fine with the previous EAC but flagged this new version. I also ran fine before the update. This is exactly what happened with a update of Back4Blood. Webroot updated their software after that patch and the game ran fine. That will happen here also.
