December 9th update caused this same issue to appear on both Origin and EA Play :\ what is going on this is horrible, before the update it ran fine.
Now I cannot even start the game. Tried repairing the game, uninstalling the EAC and reinstalling it. Same result. If anyone finds a solution kindly share it with the rest of us.
@Sulaiman-178 having this same issue. ever since the dec 9th update. none of the possible fixes that have been given resolve my issue
- @BigUnknownGamer Do you get an error message? Or the game just does not start after the EAC loading screen with no errors?

- @BigUnknownGamer If you don't have Webroot installed then you just need to repair EAC by going to its folder inside the Battlefield 2042 installation folder, you'll see an exe with EAC_Setup it'll repair the service if it's corrupted
