So , I just noticed that when im in the game's menu it uses more of my gpu than when in the actual game? when i get into a game it uses so little gpu that the fan speed drops to 0rpm. When im in the games main menu the fans turn on. Why is it using so little GPU, Even if this game relies more on CPU but then what's the point of using a gpu? I cant get above 30fps whether on low/ultra , they all give the max of 40fps on 1080p..

"FIX" Go to your documents folder and delete the whole Battlefield 2042 folder.After an Nvidia driver Update something must have caused bad files. The game will recreate the folder after your next launch and everything should work fine again. You even dont need to downgrade your drivers.A comment i saw on a video fixed it for me

@Moony_Za Dude, deffinitely try to put more strain on that gpu. Turn up the resolution or put resolution scale from a 100% to 133 or smth. On 1080p your cpu will suffer more.

@Moony_Zasame problem, game not smooth, fps drop, I am on 3080 and i7 8700. It seem 8700 is bad for this game.

@Nutcrusherr How I can put resolution scale to 133%? I don t see this option in game. In BF 5 I can do it, but in BF 2042 there isn't an option to scale resolution.

@wolf74-ITA I thought its there as it was in older games. I didnt get to play just yet, still in my 24 hrs shift sadly.
In nvidia control panel you find DSR and you can make a custom resolution for your self, that should put more strain on the gpu if theres no resolution scale in the ingame settings.

I resinstalled windows, upped the resolution scale and tried everything, i got my fans to actually start working on got it to use 40% of my gpu, however the frames were the same. cpu was high 90s and gpu in 40s. The result didnt change whether i was using 5% of gpu or 40% of gpu.

Also , i think its the 128 man servers which is different and makes our cpu's struggle a little. If they still had 64 player servers i think we would handle it a little better
