Mouse x-axis broken after update

After the season 3 update my aiming is completely broken and unplayable, the cross hair will jump around and lag as I am aiming, none of my other EA games do this so its not system related. I encountered this in my first match but I was able to fix it by clearing my cache and changing some settings, then it started again today, restarting my computer seemed to help, and now it does not, nothing I try fixes this issue. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm hoping for a way to fix it that does not involve uninstalling.

    @Roger_Roger_DB try a cleanboot, to see if there is any other software causing this. Some time pollingrate from mouse can be an issue or other controllers (xbox controller ect ect).
    Share your system specs please.

    Hi, the clean boot did not work and I still have this issue, I am running a GTX 1660ti mobile, Ryzen 7 4800H, 16 gb ram, and 1tb ssd.

    @Roger_Roger_DBsame here, heavy mouse lags, mostly on horizontal stuff, it's so bad it's now completly unplayable...
    this bug existed already in season 2 but was rare (introduced before/with the horrible "crash" patch) , now it's in every map and everywhere for me...

    nothing changed here, just the bf patch came.... I tried reinstalling the game completly, wiping all settings and cache stuff etc, nothing helped so far...

    @Rokebo73 Same for me, 2021 alienware m15, game is completely unplayable. Happened after S3 came out, no issues before. It is 100% correlated with the game update.

    Same for me, Alienware M15 2021, nvidia 3060, game is completely unpayable; it is 100% correlated with the game update, worked just fine before; no other controllers, no hardware changes.

    I have found a solution for me:

    by setting up the user.cfg file in the bf2042 folder and setting it like described in the post, my mouse lag is gone!

    I already had the user.cfg in but a little bit different, the delay existed with it (but still before 3.0 not always), deleting the user.cfg also did not solve it and the issue was still existing, only setting it like described above finally fixed my issue!
