Appears on PS5 console, I’ve tried

-Resetting console

-Switching between Lan and Wifi

-Deleting, then re-downloading BF2042

-Dancing during the loading screen process

Would be nice if I could try out the game, extremely excited for it, don’t care what all the haters say. 🙂

Been playing all week then the update drops now on ps5 I can't even login no matter what I try. I paid a $100 not to be able to even play. Got to love it.

Me too game just keeps trying to tell me to buy Xbox live like I don’t have live at all but yeah I’m playing Apex siege Star Wars all the other games totally fine

What happens if you set a different DNS on your PS4? That can sometimes help with issues like this as well. You can update the DNS using the following steps: 

1. Open the PS4 Settings and go to Network 
2. Select Set Up Internet Connection 
3. Choose Wi-Fi or LAN Cable depending on how your console is connected to the internet 
4. Select Custom 
5. Choose Automatic under IP Address Settings 
6. Choose Do Not Specify under DHCP Host Name 
7. Select Manual under DNS Settings 
8. Enter 8.8.8.8 as the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 as the Secondary DNS. This is the public Google DNS, but I’ve also seen some people mention that using the public Cloudflare DNS has helped (Primary DNS: 1.1.1.1).  
9. Select Next 
10. Choose Automatic under MTU Settings 
11. Select Do Not Use under Proxy Server 
12. Select Test Internet Connection to confirm the changes and make sure you can connect.

This game is unplayable! EA needs to start dishing out refunds to people. They should have waited an entire year before they released this game. I spent $70 for the PlayStation 5 version. And I can't even play the game I can't get past the loading screen. Just a screen that tells me to reset my password which I have done several times, I even made a completely new account. And still no access to the game. I've done all the basic connection stuff and my connection is fine. I've reset the DNS server and reset all the network settings on the PlayStation 5 with no change to the game. This game is unplayable this game is trash. From all the reviews and everything else I've read everything is horrible. And I can't even experience how horrible it is because the game is unplayable beyond the loading screen.

No luck. I was already in the Google configuration as I found that as a possible solution elsewhere on the help forum. I tried the CloudFare, 1.1.1.1, and got the same loading loop (reset password prompt/cannot connect to EA servers error). 

Another profile on this PS4 is able to connect and play with no problem. It’s isolated to my PS4 profile & BF2042 combination. I have attempted to manage my connections from my EA account on a browser, to which my account shows I have no existing connections. I did have to create a new EA account some time back, between my last play of BFV and my first attempt to play BF2042, and no longer have access to (or remember) the old EA account I used on this PS4 for BFV. Perhaps it’s related to being stuck trying to load my old EA profile information connected to my PS4?
