So I have been dealing with an issue for about the past week where my social app tab in the right hand corner of the screen shows no one online even when, be it console friends or pc, they are in fact online. It also shows that I am not online for them. I have checked my status on the origin app, it is not set to invisible. I have updated the launcher to the most recent version, Hell, I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the game and the launcher itself. The game itself has come a long way and it's been fun to play, but jeez this social experience has been terrible.
Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. As I feel like I've tried everything to no avail.

I'm having the same problem I have my friend on ea playing battlefield 2042.
I've looked at battlefield and on firewall and anti-virus it's not being blocked on any of them.
I'm at a loss about this.
I'm having the EXACT same problem. Uninstalled everything, reinstalled. Nothing works. My brother is on XBOX I am on PC, and I sent him friend requests and he doesn't get them. I can't see him online, he can't see me online. He sends me a friend request and I don't get it. This all started happening for me when it switched over from Origin to EA App. Can someone help? I am at my wits end. I was able to play with my brother for months, then all of sudden this! HELP!

I can't believe one has to enable administrator access to allow it to minimally work!
EA App: increasing your security attack surface since 2022.
Running BF as an admin doesn't work either. I thought it fixed probelm first time, but next time I tried to run it, my son playing in next room was STILL not visible to BF, even though EA sees him as online for me. What a joke.
you have to runn everthing as admin "EA app" and "Steam" and the "Game" also
Still a problem.. Relaunching ea and bf multiple times worked in some cases
Happed to me today as well... I even Formatted and reinstalled my entire Windows... cant get it to work at all.. no friends online and also the friend bar on the right side is not responsive on EA play.
In battlefield all my friends show 0
hey dude i have the same issue, in general EA doesnt care, they only care wether they can rob you from extra money in the process. perhaps they will get a battlechat pass soon.... typical EA
