I'm having the EXACT same problem. Uninstalled everything, reinstalled. Nothing works. My brother is on XBOX I am on PC, and I sent him friend requests and he doesn't get them. I can't see him online, he can't see me online. He sends me a friend request and I don't get it. This all started happening for me when it switched over from Origin to EA App. Can someone help? I am at my wits end. I was able to play with my brother for months, then all of sudden this! HELP!
Exact same issue here. Tried everything, but can't see any friends while in the game. No problems with Origin, only happened since changing to the EA app.
