[PC] Constant latency variation logo ?

Hi,

I'm currently playing on PC from France with this config :

GPU : Nvidia RTX 3070 with drivers 497.29 (note that I updated the drivers yesterday trying to solve the issue and it hasn't change anything).
CPU : AMD Ryzen 3600X
RAM : DDR4 16Gb 3600 Mhz CAS 16
Motherboard : MSI B550 A-Pro
Storage : M.2 SSD Crucial P2 500 Gb and SATA SSD 1000Gb Crucial MX500 (where BF2042 is installed)
Windows 11 x64
Monitor : AOC 27" 144Hz G-sync compatible 27G2/BK

I have coaxial fiber, ethernet cable connection to my PC from a CPL plug (which uses wi-fi to connect to another CPL plug on my router/modem).

I have a symbol that has been appearing on screen for the last 3 days. From what I have read, it seems to be for "latency variation" (picture attached). It was not there at all before (and by "before" I mean the last two weeks or so). My connection hasn't change in the midtime, I don't have any issues alike in other games (Apex, New World...).

What I have tried :
- Rebooting my router/modem as indicated in your recommandations.
- Deleting the igo64.dll file in the Origin folder with Origin closed.
- Turn off and on my computer.
- Update my GPU drivers

So I'm a bit lost right now, It is quite difficult to play the game with this issue and it seems to be constant, I have tried at least 6-7 matches : conquest 64, conquest 128, breakthrough 64 and 128, Solo breakthrough 64 ...

What can I do ?

I know from personally using CPL plugs its not the best network experience as copper lines can be very hit and miss, do you have the option to test drag a sable from the modem to PC and see if that improves it for you. @Taramaaaa

  • It means that connection towards the server is unstable. @Taramaaaa So somewhere from you to our servers your network routing is hitting bad servers if the issue is not localized to where you live.

Do you have a 4g device that you can hotspot and see if that helps?

  • Hi,

Thanks for the answer but unfortunately I don't have a WiFi card so no, I can't try a 4G device at the moment (My phone does not handle USB modem connexion).

If I may add some precisions, my in game latency seems pretty stable, in fact it almost doesn't move from around 45-51ms.

I'm adding 3 speedtests I have done (screenshot linked). I've also done some speedtest on my laptop (closer to the modem/router) and my phone and the results were similar.
