Performance issues: game keeps on freezing

Hi. I'm kind of desperate here. I have trouble running BF2042 as the game keeps freezing (basically everytime I shoot and/or somebody shoots at me. What seems to be the problem is that my CPU is running at 100% capacity.

I have a i5 11600KF, RX6700XT, 32gigs of ram w/e..

I have tried creating a user.cfg file to tell the game to use all 12 threads of the CPU but it doesn't fix the problem. I tried to run UserBenchmark & 3D Mark to troubleshoot potential issues, but they didn't find anything either. The drivers are up to date. I'm running low on solutions.

Is my config simply not powerful enough to run the game or is the issue somewhere else ?

    @BloodhawkVak I do have the same problem since few weeks. Back in the days they wrote recommended CPU would be i7 4790 (i had to that time the i7 4790k and i had always 100% load). So i upgraded to the i7 12700k, it was fine for months around 50-70% load depending on how large the server was. Since few weeks my 12700k is also chilling at 100% load, which results in the same problems as you have. Idk whats wrong with that game, but i tried also many solutions. Nothing worked.

    I get normally 180 FPS on 1440p ultrawide, with DLSS, but these stutters still happen.
