Ok so I have a very top end PC using an Nvidia 3090 and all other games recently released I can easily put in 'High/Ultra' settings and they run 60fps+ no problem. I put this in Ultra and the FPS is all over, the smoothness is not there and it feels terrible. The 6GB patch last night did NOTHING and this game is not taxing the PC in real terms and GPU temp and % is about right, the AMD Ryzen 5950X isn't being taxed in any way also. If I lower settings to Medium its little better but still not smooth so this makes me feel like this is not hardware related whatsoever given the rig's spec also.
I've spoken to EA's support who are about as much use as a potato, going over the usual stuff found in information in their tech support knowledge base and talking to different advisors who don't read the ticket notes and ask me to go over this a thousand times.
What are your thoughts?
Spec -
CPU - AMD Ryzen 5950X
SSD - Seagate Firecuda 520 M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD - 5000MB/s Read & 4400MB/s Write
Mem - 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4/3200mhz Quad Channel Memory
GPU - Palit GeForce® RTX 3090 24GB - Ray Tracing Technology, DX12®, VR Ready
Give it a try:
go to the Config File and change:
ShadowQuality to 0
DX12 to 1
DLSS to 1
DLSS Qualtity to 5
after That, it Runs smooth on my system

I'm not using DLSS ☹️ it made no difference on or off even setting to 'Performance' etc.
Also does this not lower the graphical quality making that change? I want Ultra quality at around 60fps, which my system should do no problem.
