Hi,
Have you had a look at your BIOS firmware version? I found that there are firmware updates out that have additional support for the latest card technologies. Perhaps have a look at he firmware versions and see which ones people with similar components have had good experiences with.

Last update took 20-30 FPS on PC. Console performance is also much worse.
specs:
r7 2700x
16 gb 3200
evga gtx 1080 ti SC2 hybrid
m.2 and an ssd
ive spent so much more time troubleshooting than playing. on lowest settings + dynamic res, I get 40-70 fps on avg.
my gpu and cpu usage never goes above 60% (usually 30-50%)
MSI afterburner (technically rivatuner I guess) is providing me with this fps and usage info
I have one of the best 1080 tis, and other people with the same card get a lot better FPS and can do so on med-high settings
I haven't done anything to my game, and if I OC my GPU at all, I can't even load in to the game (direct x error on the ship loading screen)
see image attached
I am quite frustrated, as I have made several posts here, to no avail. I've spoken with several tech support dudes, but as someone with a BS in Compsci and IT, I end up talking to someone in a third world country who has less knowledge than me on the subject. I've tweeted @ bf2042 and ea and such, posted to reddit, discord, etc. PLEASE HELP ME or at least REFUND ME
You'll get no help or refund. If the guides don't help you, you need to either wait for them to optimize or buy better hardware. I'm sitting here on a damn 6900XT and a 5600X and I can hardly keep 100fps at 1440p. Changing the settings do me nothing. I've already tried to demand a refund once to no avail.
The performance in 128-player games is horrible ... 64-player games aren't that much sparing either, but in 128-player games ... it's disastrous.
Please fix this and all the bugs you know about that the Battlefield community is helping you report, or Battlefield 2042 by the end of January will be dead forever.
Tic Tac DICE ...
I don't know what to do and really need help
I like this game but I cannot get 30+ fps with the specs listed and I have tried everything, does anyone have any ideas?
I tried the following (temps are fine):
newest drivers
Latest patch
Setting refresh rate to 144 htz (my monitor) in PROFSAVE_Profile
Using performance power setting
Creating user.cfg in game directory and making the following values for my cpu (I have 6 cores and 12 threads, setting to 11 makes it playable)
Thread.ProcessorCount 6
Thread.MaxProcessorCount 11
Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0
Thread.JobThreadPriority 0CPU priority has been set to high
SMT off and on in BIOS (performance is halved from 30 if disabled, 30 if enabled)
Closing all other applications when I run the game
Running in windowed mode
Setting GstRender.ShadowQuality to 0
I am really at my wits end here and I absolutely appreciate any new suggestions 🙂
I've religiously played every battlefield from 2 and modern combat to today but this is not acceptable for a finished game
I have ample hardware and have taken the burden of trying to find a fix and scoured every part of the web but must I jump through so many ea/reddit posts just to get 30 fps on low?
If it was multiple games having an fps problem even at lowest settings I could see hardware issues, but this is the only game I own with a problem
Everything else from COD, crysis, KCD play fine at 60+fps (if at lower settings than highest)
Again I appreciate any suggestions or tips, thank you in advance 🙂
