Ps5 to psn4 friends

Summarize your bug I am playing on a ps4. I have two friends playing ps5. I can play with one friend but not the other. The other friend can’t be found in psn network friends or ea.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to find ps4 to ps5 friends
What happens when the bug occurs? No friends found
What should be happening instead? Should appear in my list of friends.

    @DANNP2 

    Do you know if your friend recently changed their PlayStation ID? I wonder if they're showing up as their previous ID.

    No they both have the same id’s. We have been playing together for 8 years. 

    I do know that the one friend that I can play with across ps5, I received a real name request or a new friends request with an alternate name. We thought maybe the game needs to see the ea id but we have searched every possible id my other friend has and none of them come up. Both friends are still on my psn friends list but again I can only see one. Ty

    Players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can play with and against each other, but not with players on PC, PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S - even with cross-play turned on.
