PS5 VOIP not working... pls help

VOIP was working fine a couple of days ago... something has changed and I cannot figure out how to fix it.  I made sure I was not in a PS5 party, checked the chat settings in game...  nothing has worked. I did notice that the chat option btwn squad or party is now greyed out... there is no option to switch back and forth, and I can't for the life of me figure out what happened. Pls help.
