Re: 2042 Wont Launch

Hey, yes system crashes and then I get a blue screen reading
"KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION"

No my pc isn't overclocked at the moment. It has been in the past, but to try and solve the crashes I reset everything back to factory.

@HeyReohHey man, lets check somethings !

Do a windows Health check first !
    SFC - Windows Health Check

Press Windows key + 'R' ,typ CMD
Press and hold down CTRL + SHIFT and press ENTER.
When User Account Control shows up, click Yes.
Use the following command lines, pressing Enter after each
(make sure you wait till each of the commands is executed properly):

    sfc /scannow
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    Reboot your system

Now lets do a drive check !
    Chkdsk

Press Windows key + 'R' ,typ CMD
Press and hold down CTRL + SHIFT and press ENTER.
When User Account Control shows up, click Yes.
    Now enter this command:

    chkdsk /f

    you will see this message:
The type of the file system is NTFS.
    Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

press Y at youre keyboard and reboot system.
Now before windows will boot , you will see that a drive check will be done.
Do not cancel this , it will need sometime to check youre drive !
Wait till check is done and system will boot up !

now we will check all other drivers (no reboot required !)
Press Windows key + 'R' ,typ CMD
Press and hold down CTRL + SHIFT and press ENTER.
When User Account Control shows up, click Yes.
Use the following command lines, pressing Enter after each

    chkdsk D: /f
    chkdsk E: /f
    chkdsk M: /f
    chkdsk S: /f

Now reboot system again (please update us if ya got any chkdsk fixes at any drive!)

now check youre game files with the gameplatform you did buy BF2042 at:
Repair / Verify youre game files !
    Reboot en test game !

If there is still any error please report it to us!

    Cheers
