first i had directx resource error, after try everything except re-install Windows, after re installing Windows try launch the game and it appear error " there is a problem with you gsme setup, please re install" i had to resintall the game try launch again, and boom. The error still there.
SOLVED: after re installed from official site Vc_redist64x and vc_redist86x game worked (links attached below)
Anyone else getting this? I 've multiple installs but no luck, tried verifying files and other threads. I do have two BF2042 in my origin if that helps, one is standard and the other is the trial one for 10 hours.

Battlefield 2042 Gold Edition on PC, just purchased this morning.
Every time I try to launch the game I get this error "There is a problem with your game's setup. Please reinstall your game." I have tried all of the fixes, install windows media feature pack (already had), reinstall direct X, reinstall visual studio C++ (already installed), verify game files, reinstall easy cheat, run files as administrator, repair game from Origin, finally uninstalled game and re-downloaded and still have the same problem.

Edit - The log report from Origin said that I was missing "vcruntime140_1.dll", this dll for some reason did not get installed. Google led me to downloading VC_redist.x64.exe from Microsoft, after installing this I could finally play. Hope this helps someone else.

I have the same issue (Own on Steam, purchased after the release of "early access") EA Help wants me to uninstall and attempt to launch the game in this specific way "Once installed, launch the game from your Recently installed list under My games and apps > Manage > Queue. Don’t launch the game from your game library or it will try to open the pre-ordered version again, which is locked until November 19th (Standard Edition)."
Problem is, I have the Ultimate edition. I will attempt to launch the game in the way that he recommends. But for some reason I have a hunch that since I purchased after the release of "early access" I will be unable to actually launch the game until the 19th. I've already verified game files, uninstalled and reinstalled once, verified C++ Distributables, verified EAC installed correctly, verified Win10 up to date (Version: Windows 10 Home).
This will be the last attempt to fix before I ask for a refund.
