No, BF 5 was purchased long ago through the origin.
I was playing BF2042 last year without any problem. Was playing a lot last month. Never had any problem before.

That's likely why BFV is working. There have been some issues lately getting games bought on Steam to work.
Well, it would make sense to at least research some logs if they are written.
It is really weird, because I have done nothing between the last successful launch and the next failures. I didn't even restart my PC. Just closed the game, watched a movie and then tried to start the game again.
The problem was in the КриптоПро (Crypto Pro) Application which is used for digital signature encryption. I have no idea how it is related, but right after deinstallation and reboot i was able to launch the game instantly. It is also weird, because Crypto Pro was installed alongside with battlefield almost a year without any changes to crypto Pro or battlefield configuration. Anyway, maybe this will help someone. Glad you got it working @MetalRex101.
PCs are changing weekly, if not daily, without owner intervention. This is what makes troubleshooting games on PCs significantly more difficult than consoles.
