Re: Battlefield 2042 not launching from the EA app

@P0rkBan Hey there, have you tried running a repair on EA Anticheat?

If not could you please give this a try and let us know if you're still unable to load the game.

  • @EA_Rtas Yes I have tried this multiple times, I've also tried repairing the EA app itself, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the game and the EA app. The game is currently on my main drove SSD because I've read it can cause issues being on an external or backup drive. I've tired virtually every fix that people have found regarding this issue but nothing has worked for me yet.

@P0rkBan Okay, so we can rule some things out can you please try running a clean boot (there is a guide on how to do so here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/) and then seeing if you are able to launch the game.

This loads windows up with minimal background tasks to try and see if there is potentially something in the background interfering with the game launching.
  • @EA_RtasI just tried this and when I attempted to open the EA app it stated that because the EA background services had been disabled it was preventing the app from starting. I then went back to system configurations to enable EA background services and restarted. After doing this I was able to start the EA app but then had an error saying "EA AntiCheat Service encountered an error. Please restart the game.: C:\Program Files\EA\AC\EAAntiCheat.GameService.exe (20) (1058)". After enabling the EA AntiCheat service again and restarting my computer, again, I'm still having the same issue launching the game. No errors, just get sent straight back to the EA app like i closed the game. Battlefield 2042 also had an update today that has neglected to fix the issue.

After all of it is said and done I tried the "I ran a clean boot but it made no difference. What do I do now?" solution as well but that didn't help either. There is no indication of why this could be happening; I don't have any 3rd party antivirus software or VPNs that could be conflicting with EA AntiCheat, I've run everything related to EA and BF2042 as an admin, I've run everything not as an admin. I feel like I've done everything to make this game work and nothing helps, it's ridiculous that this can even happen when the game is freshly installed.
