@TR_Sorry4DeathHmm ok , i do see some errors.
I suggest doing a clean boot first to isolate and identify the application that is causing the issue.
A âclean bootâ starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program.
- In the search box on the taskbar, type msconfig and select System Configuration from the results.
- On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.
- On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.
- Under Startup in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then select Disable.
- Close Task Manager.
- On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select OK. When you restart the computer, it's in a clean boot environment.
Ps dont deactivate ea app background process and the EA AC process, else game will not launch at all.
Update us , lets see of there is other software causing some issues
BTW ? did ya oc youre system ?
What brand motherboard and type do ya got? Also make and send a new DXDIAG if ya are in the clean boot environment.
Cheers all is OK now. check pls

- Rokebo739 months agoSeasoned Ace@TR_Sorry4Death Still issues ?
There is probarl;y some software issues at your system.
What about new fresh windows install ?
Download iso from microsft site with mediatool and creat a bootable USB with this windows setup/install on it.
Make sure ya backup important stuff to a other drive first !
Want more performance , more fps , check https://atlasos.net/
Read first all info, use it after a fresh new installed/uptodate windows and drivers. Check motherboard websitye for latest drivers, lan/chipset/usb ect ect ect ! - @Rokebo73 i think it will not be a solution. because it happened after the last game's update. btw will try it
The list what I did;
- Antivirus file protecting disabled.
- Changing the disk folder to main system SSD. Windows and game are in same disk rn.
- Checking the game files via EA app.
It works fine now. fyi

Symptoms that were happening to me were that my PC was completely crashing, not just the game. This would normally happen about 30-45 minutes and usually happen after switching maps. Nothing in Event Viewer to point to driver, EA Anti-cheat or anything else.
Specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
AMD RX 5600 XT
32GB DDR4
512GB SSD (NVMe)
Below is what resolved it for me. I did not perform any DISM, SFC or CHKDSK repairs.
- Verified Integrity of BF2042 with Steam
- 3 Files failed to validate and will be reacquired.
- Downloaded 29.9MB of files; unknown which ones.
- In Windows Security, set the following:
- Virus & threat protection
- Virus & threat protection settings -> Manage settings
- Exclusions -> Add or remove exclusions
- + Add an exclusion, set to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2042
- Launched Game @2138 EDT
- Did not crash game. Stopped @11:50 EDT
- Verified Integrity of BF2042 with Steam
- @iTails it might be because of Windows security. I use Kaspersky, once I turned off file virus scanning, game works fine.
- Rokebo739 months agoSeasoned Ace@TR_Sorry4Death Nice , ya solved issue that is caused by this software.
Windows virus/defender is as good as those other 3rd party software.
YA realy dont need kaspersky/norton/avg ect ect ect.
Cheers
