Re: BF2042 CPU Running At 100% Constantly For No Reason

Hello, playing this game it looks like there is some problems with the optimization of the CPU performance in BF2042. I play with 3060ti and Ryzen 7 3700x and can't get more than 60-65 fps in hourglass and orbital and more than 75 fps in the other maps. I play 1440p, everything on low with RT off. Same settings I would get around 130 fps in BFV.

I can see that a lot of people are having problems with this even with more powerful GPUs and CPUs. I was therefore wondering if we can do anything to increase the CPU fps in this game? I also want to ask if there is any CPU performance optimization on the way for BF2042? 

Again a lot of people are having problems with the fps and we feel like we need some information about this from either EA or DICE. Thank you.

    @Fevzihan25I’ve tried everything. I gave up and got off the game. 50-80 FPS tonight. Drops to 35 when aiming down gun. 56 percent gpu usage and 50-60
    Percent cpu usage constant. Doesn’t matter the settings. Super choppy and unplayable. In bf v I get 120-160. And most any other game as well. 1080p.  Not super confident they are gonna drop a patch soon and magically add 60 FPS to everyone’s game. I don’t even see them acknowledging it anywhere. Just crap about bugs and kids loving the game playing at 30-50 FPS lmao

    Hey, @nova-jx @Fevzihan25  can you try a clean boot to see if any programs are messing with Battlefield 2042 and turn off any overlay programs, such as Discord or Nvidia experience.

     

    Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?

    @EA_Atic I've tried to do a clean boot, clear cache and turning for any overlays. I was in contact with your chat support and even they couldnt help me.

    In game the uses around 45-50% of my CPU and 55-60% of my GPU. Battlefield 2042 is a good game but the bad CPU optimization and memory leaks that happens in this game is ruining the fun. As i said its not only me. A lot of people have said this especially on reddit and different social media.

    I play Battlefield V with 100-140 fps on ULTRA settings, games like COD MW with 150 fps, Forza Horizon Extreme graphics 80 fps 1440p. But cant run BF2042 more than 65 fps on lowest settings. So I dont think there is something wrong with my hardware. But maybe there is something preventing high performance in BF2042. Hope you can help me.
