I've followed all the tweaks I can find online. Playing with 64 Conquest servers helps. It's been working most of the week during the day, but today (Friday) it is not working. Not sure why it suddenly changed, but I can't play today.

I have found one thing that changes things a bit. Turn On/Off Hardware Scheduling Via Windows Settings. When I turned it on, my GPU was between 60-95% while CPU was 100%. When I turned it off, it was at 1-10% and CPU was 100%. So.... didn't really fix it for me, but maybe SOMEONE out there might have it work for them.
Click Start, then head to Settings > System.
From the left-hand menu, select Display.
Below Multiple Displays, click Graphics settings.
Turn on or off the toggle for Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling.
You will probably need to select the bf2042.exe file.
Restart your computer.
The game does work when playing solo. It's only when I play with people online and especially when near them. Close quarters combat is just too much to actually play.
EDIT: Well.... it was earlier today. Now it keeps booting me out as I'm lagging so much.
