Re: Cache folder stuttering

I have the exact same problem. I switched from GTX 1660 Super to RX 6700XT and the problem has started to occur. I've tried almost everything - from clean installation of windows, trimming the SSDs, DDU uninstall of AMD drivers and clean install of the latest WHQL stable drivers, turning off the v-sync etc. ... I also tried my friend's RX 6600XT and it still has persisted.

By clearing the contents of cache folder I got the same results as you - it came back in the next gaming session if I don't empty the folder again.

I don't know if that stuttering caching issue happens only on AMD GPUs, but DICE should fix this ASAP.

    Hi Oxygen_pls,

I agree; it's ridiculous this still hasn't been fixed - especially after all the detail I provided.

I don't know if you saw at the very bottom, but I did find a work around.

Set the permissions on the cache folder to Deny for "Authenticated Users"

This prevents the cache from being written/read, which stops the stuttering.

Remember to clear the cache dir FIRST, before changing the permissions.
