I finally found the solution after trying everything.
You need to go to your documents folder then battlefield 2042 and delete your cache folder. It should work🙂

I just keep getting Mouse 6 bound instantly every time. Doesn't even confirm it. were you able to find a solution that worked for you. I just wanted to check with you to see if I could help further. Quick questions. Were you exited from the game when you deleted the Cache folder and then reloaded the game after? it won't work if the game is running when you delete the folder. Did you delete the Cache folder in the game folder located in your System your system drive letter:\users\your user username\DocumentsBattlefield 204\ , not the cache folder for Origin? Let me know i can help you further.
I have gone into my folders and deleted the cache folder and it didn't work even after restarting my computer. What's wierd is that it was working just fine a couple days ago but now it just dosnt so I'm utterly confused.
Didnt fix it for me at all, left and right mouse buttons do not work in game, and cannot set mouse buttons in options, can open the option but then no mouse button is registered, even if clearing teh binding (holding Esc) until there no binding, even then restore default appears to put the buttons back in the options but they still dont work in game, even if deleting the folders.
Pants, thsi si the only game I have any such issues withj.
