- @BHam2121 And the event ID that I am getting is 41. Which that is just a unexpected power reboot so I'm not sure what to give you with that info
@BHam2121 I am seeing a lot of driver related errors.
and since @vonhills427 mentioned BIOS update sorta fixed the issue there is something we could try. (You to @vonhills427 @MamboMooCows )Follow the first section of my guide to check your BIOS is up to date; but also look for motherboard manufacturer drivers as they are not updated by windows update.
https://tiberiusmoon.github.io/Tibs-Guide-to-Windows-10/(Skip the parts about laptops if you don't have one)
You can update all the drivers so everything is ship shape or just focus on the chipset drivers.
- @The_Tibber bios up to date (just did it yesterday). all drivers up to date, windows up to date.
this is a bf2042 problem. - @MamboMooCows Likewise, I have the .2423 BIOS update for my ASUS ROG Strix B550-F, also every single other game runs flawlessly. Apex and other intensive games. Doesn't make sense for it to be so isolated
After doing a couple more tests with installing different BIOS versions and graphics drivers, I was still unable to pinpoint the exact cause of my continued reboot. However, I may have stumble upon something interesting. When playing around with the power options and setting the 'Maximum processor state' to 96%, my computer hasn't rebooted since. I've been able to load repeatedly onto the main menu and haven't noticed any reboots in-game. Let me know what you guys think, this might work for someone.
Some people reported that they see that the game is using their cpu at 100%.
One possible fix is limiting the max usage in your power plan.
Some people reported that the game crashed and they did a -30Mhz on core clock for their GPU and it fixed the problem.
It is also recommended to have the latest bios since agesa patches really help out with the CPU boost clocks and could offer improvements and better stability.
Also some people reported that running the game as admin fixed most of the crashes and the game was playable enough.
When you are testing the game or trying to debug the cause of the crashes or errors you might want to install msi afterburner and do a screen overlay of the GPU, CPU, ram stats.
You people are providing not enough informations for those that want to help.
System specs are not enough.
Also if some of you are using prefer max performance in NCP, you might want to use optimal mode or normal mode(for newer cards). Letting the card boost clocks when it is not needed may crash the game.
- @MyDiversity I tried this and it unfortunately had no luck. Got into a game and still rebooted my PC
Hmm im seeing a lot of WUDFHostProblems which are driver related so its a matter of finding out what driver is causing the issue.
Follow my guide here to update your motherboard drivers through the manufacturer website. (skip the laptop parts, you can choose to install all the drivers or just focus on chipset drivers)
https://tiberiusmoon.github.io/Tibs-Guide-to-Windows-10/
If the driver updates don't work then ill need more info, could you provide a screenshot of your event viewer showing the error and warning event codes.

@The_Tibber You might be my last hope
I've attached the requested files.
What' the problem: pls have a look here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/PC-Battlefield-is-rebooting-the-PC-randomly/m-p/10965738#M3874
I have no more ideas.
In addition to my listed problem i've just tryed to unplug my audio devices (loopstation and audio interface)
and i've tryed this "fix" https://www.naguide.com/battlefield-2042-fix-pc-restarts/ - but the pc is still rebooting randomly Try physically disconnecting your oculus.
- Muyuubyuyu4 years agoNew Scout@The_Tibber it's not connected.
have it in it's box for more than a year now Ahh okay,
Then uninstall the software and/or drivers for it untill you use it again, its popping up errors.
You seem to be having drive related errors, what we will do is a physical check, then update the drivers, and then do a health check of the drives to confirm they are okay.
1.Turn off your PC and open your case, physically check your sata cables are not pinched or folded in a way that looks like they would be damaged.
If they are damaged and you built the PC your self, check your motherboard box for replacement sata cables.2.In my guide here follow the drivers a BIOS section to update your motherboard drivers and BIOS to the latest.
https://tiberiusmoon.github.io/Tibs-Guide-to-Windows-10/ (skip the laptop parts)Your main focus it chipset drivers, BIOS and Sata drivers. (if your not comfortable updating BIOS then skip it, be sure to follow the instructions carefully)
You can take this chance to update other driver components on your motherboard and you don't need the software that maybe in the list.
3.Right click your windows icon and open command prompt (admin).
Type in and hit enter to the following:
wmic
diskdrive get status
There should be a OK for each drive, if it shows something other than OK let me know.
Then type:
chkdsk D: /F /R
Do this for your D: E: and any other drives you may have but leave the C drive for last as that has to be done during the next time you boot. (requires restart)
Post screenshots of the results and see where we go from there.

@The_Tibber i've removed everything oculus related, updated bios like u've said.
i've got an okay from the "diskdrive get status"bnut i dont have screenshots from the chkdsk D: /F /R commands.
it took several hours and i wasnt net to my pc, when i came back the windows were just closed : /
and with c: - my pc was just booted, when i cam back to itnext to your stuff i've did a memtest86 - and everything passed.
pc still rebooting after a random amount of time :x
Hmm alright,
Could you open event viewer like before and find event id 36 Volsnap.
Then double click it to open some more information and screen shot it for me to see.
- Muyuubyuyu4 years agoNew Scout
@The_Tibberi dont had new volsnap events today
attached my current eventlog - Muyuubyuyu4 years agoNew Scout
i wansn't able to add the detail pictures in my answer, sry for double post : /
Okay cool,
That means there is some progress in resolving some of your issues but its not the ones that are causing the reboot.
Hmm.
Lets go over the OS files and try repairing them.
Right click your windows icon and open command prompt (admin) then type:
dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
Hit enter, after the scan do:
sfc /scannow
If the scans mention it repaired something restart your PC.
If the scans fail let me know.

@The_Tibber
I've run all this, no problems detectedps: sry, that everything is in germen - it sais: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
Okay, could you try cause the computer to reboot while playing BF again and then provide a event viewer screen shot like before?
There are so many error codes on your system that recreating a more recent forced reboot will replicate the error codes at the time of the issue.
- Muyuubyuyu4 years agoNew Scout
@The_Tibberhere we go 🙂
took a while until my pc decided to reboot again
add: Nvidia just released a new driver - installing right now!
add2: The new, freshly installed driver did nothing - pc keeps rebooting after a while.
Could you expand on the 219 Kernel-PnP to see the details?
- Muyuubyuyu4 years agoNew Scout
@The_Tibberhere you go
add: the new nvidia driver solved nothing. still the same problem.
it's so sad to see how just 5 days of early access can destroy years of hype... Hmm,
Okay.
If you have a third party antivirus software uninstall that.
Try a clean boot: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd
I maybe found a solution.
First, I've done this :
Min : 10%
Max : 95%
Then, I've updated my chipset, not going on the website of the motherboard but on the site of the chipset (amd).
And then that, I've updated my bios (last version).
Now, I'm able to launch the game, and play.
I've made 2 games, no reboot.
Then I rebooted my computer, launching the game, join a game, all ok. Quit the game, relaunched, staying on the hub for 30min, no reboot.
I've just an error 2600J something like that on the boat screen, but the game is working.
Maybe this may help.
(Removed link, try to keep to official sites only) -. Atic
- Muyuubyuyu4 years agoNew Scout@The_Tibber dont had one installed. made a clean boot - just started steam and origin
