Re: Computer Rebooting When Launching Battlefield 2042

Pc setup:

Cpu-amd 7 3700xt

Gpu= power color reddevil 5700xt

Ram-32gb

Asus pro x570 pro motherboard

Battlefield continues to randomly reboot my pc, when the computer loads back up not errors are present in amd adrenalin or anywhere else. I check event viewer but most are because the computer didn't properly shutdown correctly. I have been monitoring the temps/ram usage etc and nothing is out of normal working order. Sometimes I can play for 30 mins others I play for 5 mins or as soon as a map loads or can't get past the connecting to server before the computer reboots without warning. I did a fresh install of windows and all my drivers are up to date, I downloaded and reinstalled the game four times just to see if anything would change and nothing changes. Not sure where the issue is, I would hope it's the game....All the other battlefields run great. I've tried everything to tax the graphics card and processor but everything works fine, but the moment I load the game reboot reboot reboot after damn reboot.... No wonder this game is getting such horrible reviews. Tomorrow I get my 6700xt and will see if that changes anything. (bought it before bf came out) please ea and dice fix the damn game...

    I would download a program called "Bluescreen view" and see if you have any bluescreen errors and what is causing it in particular. There's so many things that can cause a PC to reset, generally games can't because they don't have the security access to force reset a PC. Typically there is an underlying cause and the game is just pushing your PC, but then this would happen as well with any game or program that pushes your PC to the same usage levels as the game or past it. Since you said you've already tried to push your GPU and CPU, it could be ram related. I know for sure this game has a memory leak issue. And ram is one of the touchiest parts in a PC, and if you've just built that PC the pins on AMD cpu's are touchy as well.
