Re: Constant 100% CPU utilization since Season 3 update

I haven't made any changes and it's still on 100% on my i7 10700k, just let us choose some option, where we could choose whether we want higher cpu utilization or less in settings for example cpu utilization off = from before season 3 update, and on = from season 3 update upwards.

@Pator1gu, if your CPU is still at a constant 100% usage while playing the game after Update 3.1.0 went live, and you have played a few rounds, please post a new DxDiag of your system.

@EA_LeeuwI deleted all the settings, reinstalled the game, deleted everything that was in the documents folder, including the cache that were there.

Even so, it continues with an extremely high cpu consumption. And I have a processor that is neither bad nor old. I have a 5800X, and it sits on top.

If you want to leave anything open on the computer, it starts to bottleneck, lots of freezes.

Before, I played without any problems with the load on the CPU, but as soon as season 3 came, all these problems started.

I can't understand why, launching a path that ends up making things worse for most pcs, with multiple people complaining and at the same time making it impossible for many people to play. It even seems that we are in the launch that had multiple problems.

Community having to be looking for tricks of configurations and random configuration files to try to play the game, several BF fans who still insist on trying to play, looking for some trick to get it.

Why is there no hotfix, paths or things like that quickly? why not just undo what was done that increased the CPU bottleneck so much?

Several people in the forum commenting that they have problems, and this is a problem with good processors, some using processors with more than 12 cores and still having problems. And it still comes with the insistence that path 3.1 fixes the problems.

if you need to know, update 3.1 even worst then 3.0, in 3.0 we can custom CFG file, and that giving me good experince, stuttering gone. then now update 3.1 you no give permision again to custom CFG file without positive effect. I already test this last update without any CFG file, an the result is SAME, what you doin broo, this is not cheap game, and youre premium game categories, benchmark of FPS game in th world, what you doin broo??? 

to be honest games runes much better with cfg file. 
When i have 11 job threads (without cfg) i have TN 500 + ms
When i have 8 (with cfg) TN goes to 20-40

@EA_Leeuw New DxDiag  As I mentioned, my game runs great at 100% CPU load, no longer any CPU bottleneck lol...

I have now tested without user.cfg.

First I've deleted cache folder, then I have tried one game with 128 players Conquest and one 64 players Breakthrough. Both times my CPU was in 95-100% usage range. My now attached DxDiag is after these two tests.

Since before S3 update i was able to play YT videos on my other screen at same time while playing BF2042. I have ran one more test with having my firefox playing YT video in background at the same time, my CPU usage was 100% and fans are loud as heck.

After all this.

I've enabled user.cfg and again tested with one 128 Conquest and one 64 Breakthrough. Both times i had 75-85% CPU usage. Also for the final test, firefox with YT video playing in background, 77-87%  CPU usage...

It ain't fixed with 3.1 updated. My Win11 is up to date.

I7 11700kf, 3080 and 48 gb here...

Continuosly framedrops with all in low, and EA said that new update solved this, come on EA liars, ridiculous...

How is this possible?? Future updates are going to make it even worse??

This isnt a Battlefield, is a Betafail or a chinese copy.

I buyed every BF game, and buyed this $%#@ day one deluxe version and I reveived %^$#...

Come back to the old days, to the real DICE not this rookies developers.

TN goes 1000 + in 64x64 games
TN keeps 20-30 (sometimes 500 for 1-2 seconds) in 32x32 games

Without CFG file (that limits Thread.MaxProcessorCount)  TN goes 1000 + in all games

Replying again. Second day of playing after the patch. Tried deleting even some files drom document folder and checking game files. Still have lags and CPU is 100% in 64v64 gamemode

After yesterdays patch i was hoping the cpu load would be fixed, but still it runs high load, temps are still running 72c to 81c  before Season 3 patch it ran 55c 65c  with other  things running on my other screen.. will this be fixed... this extra heat takes away the life of the cpu....... my favorite game in the world and i might have to stop playing if not fixed soon..

We are collecting as many examples as possible. Therefore we have to ask; is your CPU also at a constant 100% usage while playing the game after yesterday's patch? If so, please attach a DxDiag to your post.

here my dxdiag
- 4 matches small mode, deathmatch, in the menu after fourth, black screen
-no overclocking, deleted cfg file and not deleted cache folder
- high fps 130/150 also above seldom (i7 7700k rtx 2060)
- game was smooth yes, no micro stuttering, very nice experience but cpu every time at 99-100% cause me lag on tasks desktop.

On top of the aforementioned continued utilization issue, I also experienced a black screen after a round, which was stuck for 5+ min and required an Alt + F4 to escape. 

@EA_Leeuw  after update 3.1 i cant play the game anymore 😞

Just to remind you that not all cases take 100%, there are several cases that take between 80% and 90% of the CPU which causes the entire computer to freeze, have fps drops, mouse and keyboard lags and other things like that . I think that catching only cases of 100% CPU would not be ideal, I think it would be ideal to catch cases of high CPU consumption, especially in highend.

 Update didn't solve the 100% CPU load issue

I still have %100 CPU Usage which makes my game freeze with random timings at least for 5 sec after that it becomes normal again but its cancer anyways and also Spearhead map (only Spearhead) is unplayable after 3.1 patch %50 fps loss on that map and for the love of something, please fix this problem before going for christmas vacation or something, before 3.0 everything was butter smooth for me, now almost unplayable because of freezes, here is the dxdiag
