@Dax011SRB, could you perform a driver roll-back and see if the issue persists? - I already tried that and the problem persists. But, I found that when I close/exit Nvidia experience, the issue stops, so I think that issue comes from Nvidia primarily. But anyway it still happens in EA games only so it is somehow an issue on your side too.
- @EA_Leeuw One correction, after few hours of testing, game still crashes even with NVIDIA experience turned off, so it's definitely a problem with EA games, in my case particularly Battlefield 2042.

- @EA_Leeuw Nope, I turned off everything to maximize performance.

@Dax011SRB, also nothing Nvidia Freestyle related? - @EA_Leeuw No, nothing. Everything is turned off.

@Dax011SRB, gotcha.
Are you also sure that the game uses your dedicated GPU, rather than your CPU graphics? You can change these settings in the Nvidia control panel. - @EA_Leeuw I double-checked that, only my GPU (RTX4070) runs the game.

@Dax011SRB, can you check if you can set your GPU to run for everything and see if you still crash with the same error? Hello,
I have exactly the same error with directx, often on the main menu.
I tried rollback graphic driver, uninstall and reinstall graphic driver and still have the same problem with 536.40
I can't play anymore BF2042 âšī¸
We need help.
We are not alone !

Before i had the problem randomly but now i have this crash everytime when i launch BF and it happens on the main menu. I can't even more start one game.
I don't have problem with my hardware, 0 problem with OCCT.
I didn't have problem before.
I think it occured since one week with update 5.0.1
Thank you for pay attention to your community.
Since i reinstall the game i don't have directx error anymore and the performance are really better.
I cleared cache of EAapp after reinstalling.
- @Seucaj Didn't help in my case. But thanks anyway.
@EA_LeeuwI did, and I had exactly the same crash and error message after that.
Have you delete all folder of the game after uninstall ?
In your document library ?
You can try also to :
- Disable Nvidia Reflex
- Disable Hardware acceleration Scheduling on windows 10-11 : System > Display > Graphics Settings "Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling
- Clear Cache EA APP
- Disable all overlay, steam and EAapp
- Disable all no microsoft services in "msconfig" except EABackgroundService and SteamClient Service.
Hope that can help you.
And you can try to reinstall your nvidia driver with ddu uninstaller.
- @Seucaj I also work on this computer and I can't disable everything. To rephrase, I will not dedicate a whole computer to just one heavily bugged and unplayable disaster of a game. Uninstalled together with EA app, it's Diablo 4 season these days anyway... đ
