Getting the same issue. Game launched fine after update but now when I try to re-launch, it gives me this error.

- Think I found the issue.
Looks like the anti-cheat never properly closes after the first time you open it, so after you close BF2042 you need to open your task manager, go to processes, and end all the EA Anticheat processes. Then try and launch the game again and it will work.
