Type cmd in Windows search.
Right-click on Command Prompt and pick Run as administrator.
When User Account Control shows up, click Yes.
Use the following command lines, pressing Enter after each (make sure you wait till each of the commands is executed properly):
sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Reboot your system
update if its stll an issue please. - KGUN3 years agoSeasoned Traveler@Rokebo73 - I Don't think it's my windows, it's to do with Easy Anti-Cheat, Origin, or the game itself(Or all of above)... I'm not 'techy' with the stuff you're asking me to do, you want me to scan my computer or something with commands, I Think I'll wait for official response, about this Known error.

I've had this problem since the update on 21/9/22 Have to run a Origin repair everytime I start the game. SFC/SCANNOW etc does not work

I did all you told to do and sfc did not find any issues. I restarted and still having the issue. I tried to repair with Origin and BF2042 but still the same issue after a few minutes of play.

- Magic_Stick693 years agoRising Traveler@Magic_Stick69 So I disabled Windows defender and it seem to work for a few rounds. Will Try again tomorrow. Maybe I just need to update defender?!?

I actually tried that twice and then I uninstalled everything (even from the registry with reg edit) and reinstalled BF2042 and still the same issue. I turned off my Windows firewall and defender, reimported the EasyAntiCheat Certificate, removed my VPN app and that lasted two rounds then it did it again.
Finally I found that I turned off windows update a while ago. So I updated the windows defender tried to play, bam no issues (at least last night). I updated my system over night (15 updates) and will play later today. I will post an update then.
Thanks to everyone in the community that post here. It helps a lot to have so many talented gamers help each other. I hope my experience helps someone also.

Okay after all my updates and verifying BF2042 it worked for a couple of days with no issues. Now today it's back, the same message as before, so I verified BF2042 game files, repaired EAC 609 AGAIN, and moved the EAC folder from Program Files (x86) to the Desktop as suggested, turned off my Windows defender restarted and now I'm good again. I guess that will be the routine until there's a permanent fix.
- Magic_Stick693 years agoRising Traveler@Magic_Stick69 OK i tried loading the EA Desktop and removing Origin to see if that fixes this annoying issue and NO...I'm still getting it no matter what I do. So I guess I'm done with the game for now until a fix is found.

- Magic_Stick693 years agoRising Traveler@EA_Atic I actually tired a clean boot and same results. I also delete origin, EA Desktop, BF2042 and Easy Anti cheat. Did a clean boot, ran a SFC /Scannow to fix any file issues. Did a deep virus scan. Removed unused programs, updated Windows 10, updated C++, Cleaned my registry, updated my video drivers. Restarted and install everything from scratch. I played one hour and it happened again. After that I tired the repair option of Easy AntiCheat. That seems to work for a few rounds then it happens again. I’m totally lost on any other steps. Ive researched and researched but no real solution. I tried to end task programs and it still happens. This all started after the updates. The only program I install after the update was Easy VPN but that’s not running when it happens. Also, I uninstalled it and it still happens. Very very frustrating! I’m now only getting one message of “Player was ejected from the game because Easy Anti Cheat authentication fails” also I’m not on Steam.

Dont delete old folder easy anti cheat , but just rename it.
Now install easy anti cheat again, start the setup AS AN ADMIN !!!
Update us please ! - Magic_Stick693 years agoRising Traveler@Rokebo73 I tried something yesterday that seems to be working so far. I went into task manager and found the Easy Anti Cheat service and changed the priority to the highest level. I played for 5 hours without an issue. I’m going to try again today and will post an update tonight. Here’s hoping 🤞
- Magic_Stick693 years agoRising Traveler@Rokebo73 Ok, the priority change is working but I have to change it every time I turn on my computer and play BF2042. So I tried your way and it seems to be working. I will update you tomorrow and see if it comes back. Thank you for the help!

Game On! - Magic_Stick693 years agoRising Traveler@Rokebo73 okay here’s the update. It seems to be working. I don’t have to change the priority and I don’t get kicked from games. Played 7 hours without issue. Thanks again Rolebo73! Now it’s Game On!
