Re: [FIX RELEASED] BF2042 PC - Blue Screen of Death Due to EA anticheat

FIX RELEASED - Post Marked as Solution for Visibility

Hello everyone,

We appreciate your ongoing reports regarding any EA anticheat issues encountered in Battlefield 2042 following the EA anticheat update.

The EA anticheat teams have informed us that they implemented several fixes last night aimed at resolving many, if not all, of the issues affecting BF2042 on PC and EA anticheat.

We kindly request you to relaunch the game and check whether you're still encountering the same issues as before.

Should you encounter any persisting issues with the game and EA anticheat, please attempt to repair the game through the EA app (see hyperlink) or verify the files via your respective game launcher.

If problems persist, please respond to this thread with the following information:

What is the exact error message or code that you're getting / How does it behave:

What Windows version are you using (click here on how to see this):

Do you play Battlefield 2042 via the EA app, Steam, or Epic:

When does the error occur (launching the game, during gameplay, closing the game, etc.):

Thank you.

  • nope the Asus fan control BSOD for the Anti-cheat is still there for anyone who has Asus motherboard there is a temp fix in the topic i posted

  • Error still excists after reparing the game. I´m on windows 11- There is a black screen after a few minutes and sometimes after 20/25 minutes. Playing via ea app

  • What is the exact error message or code that you're getting / How does it behave:
EAAntiCheat.GameService.exe is consuming 24GB of memory in Task Manager

What Windows version are you using (click here on how to see this):
    Win 11 23H2 922631.3527

Do you play Battlefield 2042 via the EA app, Steam, or Epic:
    EA App

When does the error occur (launching the game, during gameplay, closing the game, etc.):
Right after launching the game EAAntiCheat.GameService.exe quickly leaks memory, racing up to 24GB by the time I get in a game. I've tried completely removing the game, anticheat, EA app, and reinstalling. Same problem persists. I tried turning off core isolation and clearing DX cache but no difference. Drivers are all up to date and this computer/windows are only 2 months old.  Played every day until today with no issues, but now I can notice some micro stutter in the game and I think this could be the issue.

I have the same problem. I notice the weird stuttering starting yesterday. Now EA Anti-Cheat is consuming 25 plus gigs of memory. This machine has 500 plus hours of BF2042 with no changes and now this. Definitely a change on EA/DICE's end.

  • @Cnemie I am having the same issue. EA anti cheat eating up ram at 25 Gigs of my 32. Game ran fine for the past 1600 hours. i12700k, RTX 4080.
  • @dragoonx008 thank you bro i don't know if this going to work or not and its really weird that people here try to help ech other and try to find way and EA doing nothing ! not even admit they are wrong or have to fix this !!!!

@Madara_skull it sad all AAA studios have this entitlement in it now and i am just soo over it....what made battlefield 3 and 4 good was that they worked with the communities and listen to what fans wanted....with 4 they did the test server before even releasing the updates they had it in a test server and service....it why we brought the DLC or Premium because the base game was good...we didnt care if there was cheaters because we have things like punkbuster or server admins who would ban players one thing that made battlefield different that cod was that fact we chould own our own servers and manage them we didnt need a Kenrel level anti-cheat to ban cheaters we would just submit the vods to the respected party that brought that server there was Law and order...and to finally awnser that question no it hasnt been fix and dont think it ever will

  • @dragoonx008 guys !!!!The issue seems to be related to EA anti-cheat across multiple games, not just Battlefield. It can be fixed by going to: Windows Security > Device Security > Core Isolation > Turn on Memory Integrity(Toggle off/on if already on).

If this setting is not visible in the security section, you may have to enable virtualization in your BIOS. I had to do this for my system and the memory integrity setting appeared immediately after. I hope this helps anyone experiencing the same issue and saves you time searching around for a solution! and its fix it for me !!

@dragoonx008 when i enable it i got massive lag and low fps so its not best solution ea game need to fix this problem
  • I was having multiple crashes before the game would even finish loading, 1 blue screen while loading up, and crashes after loading up, and before it would load into a game it would crash. Here is what fixed it for me. (Memory Integrity was off and is still off)

    1. Update Bios

    2. Cap Frame rate to 58 (If you have an Nvidia graphics card, this can be done by right-clicking on the desktop, more options, Nvidia control panel, manage 3D settings, program, choose 2042, fixed frame rate)

    3. Completely uninstall the game, and re-download.
