Re: GPU Usage 100% at menu since....

What is your maximum GPU temperature when using BF2042 that you care about it? . The basic thing is to set the graphics cooling so that the core temperature does not exceed 70°C. Every serious GPU company installs a lot of security measures in graphics, so I don't know why you're stressing about GPU degradation. For 4 years now, I have had GPU usage around 99% in various games (of course not all the time, but around 70% of the gameplay) and nothing has happened to the graphics. I don't know what it's like in AMD, but in Nvidia I set the fan speeds to a given temperature using MSI Afterburner and to this day I have had no problems with graphics, I don't even lose performance in FPS, because, as I mentioned, the GPU does not exceed the magic threshold of 70 ° C If you have water cooling, don't worry at all, I suspect that your GPU doesn't even reach 60°C with water cooling.

I use Manual Fan Speed for every graphics card, the default settings are made so that the graphics survive the warranty period, then it's a total hit, just like with new cars, if you know how to operate the engine and know how often you should change the oil while the oil is running in (max. 1-2 thousand km first replacement, then the second one max. after 5 thousand km, and the rest every 10-15 thousand km or once a year - the engine will live a long time, and if you blindly believe in the manufacturer's recommendation, i.e. replacement every 30 thousand . km, then a general overhaul of the engine is guaranteed after the warranty expires xD)

My Fan config for example below for MSI RTX 2080S (I admit that it is aggressive, but the RTX 2080 Super with 2 fans is a bit warm. On the GTX 1060, this configuration looked much smoother., because GTX 1060 is cooler than RTX 2080S)

In my opinion, everyone has the same GPU problem as us because this game is poorly optimized in general. Even the latest computer graphics, which are very powerful, have trouble maintaining stable FPS and are very loaded, so that's the charm of this game, this game is very demanding and there's nothing we can do about it.

If your graphics card is not overheating, in my opinion you have nothing to worry about, at most your electricity bill will be higher, and if it is heating up, increase the fan speed in the Fan Speed chart in the AMD software (not in the GPU BIOS, look for it in the software xD) , and at a temperature of 70 °C set the speed to 100%. How to set the Fan Speed correctly, you need to do it using the trial and error method. If you set a high speed for low temperatures, you will only accelerate the wear of the fan bearings and make noise, it is important not to exceed 70 ° C.
