@SuperJomama Indeed, clompletely uninstalling and reinstalling solved the "mouse 5" problem. I made a backup of PROFSAVE_profile first and restored it after the installation completed (and i've been forced to watch the tutorial once again) and then was even able to clear the "mouse 5" entries by holding escape.

I'm wondering though where those devs are storing the "I've seen a controller on this system once and from now on will just pretend that there's still one there no matter what" information.
