Re: Losing all keyboard and mouse input

@EA_Atic In my group of friends, I'm currently the only one with this issue. I have been affected by this in previous iterations of the game and unplugging other USB inputs hasn't solved the problem. (Unplugged everything from my headsets to my VR system).

Haven't personally tested this, but multiple people on threads have been facing the issue on PC even when playing with a controller.

For me my inputs always freeze in the exact same way everytime; It starts with repeating the last known inputs for a period of about 8-10 seconds, then it briefly stops for half a second and freezes again for 8-10 seconds. Then it'll return to normal, but it won't be too long until it acts up again.

Sometimes, I will only encounter this 2-3 times per match, but there have been matches where it's been up in the tens and twenties. Doesn't matter whether I'm walking, flying, swimming or skydiving. Thought it might have had something to do with CPU usage, as it does seem like the game has a pretty high usage, where one time when it froze, my CPU clocked at 100%. But that's only happened once from what I've been able to tell. My CPU is starting to get outdated, but it's still a 6 core and haven't had any problems with other major titles.

Keybinds haven't been changed and the only software I'm running with my devices is Razer Cortex, but the issue still persisted after shutting down the application. From what I've seen myself, the percentage of people experiencing this issue isn't that widespread, but it still feels too common for it to be solely a problem on our end.

I have the same problem since the launch of the game and  people here resumed my issues pretty well.

Didn't change my keybind in any sort and no software with my keyboard that i am aware of.

I did not change any keybinds. Running iCUE software.

My issue is the same as what most have reported. Lose all input to the game for up to 60 seconds.

The only peripherals I have plugged in are my Valve Index VR headset and an external hard drive. No other input devices are actively plugged in during gameplay. Never adjusted any key bindings before the issues showed up.

Running a Corsair M65 mouse, and Corsair K70 RGB keyboard. Noticed that a few other people in this thread also have something corsair or razer related. I wonder if it is related to any RGB lighting software? I have iCUE running, i'll try playing a few games with / without iCUE running and let you know if there's anything I can find. 

Edit: Turning off anything iCUE, razer, and EVGA precision did not help at all. :/

Anyone else have this go away after updating to driver 496.76 from NVIDIA?

I just did a hour play session without the issue occurring.

@xvsmokeThe newest NVIDIA driver (after a system reboot) seems to have helped? I'll update here if I run into any issues, but I just completed my first match without any frozen input 🙂

I just played for another couple hours or so and it didn't happen.

Still going on - started last night in the middle of a few games.  Playing steam version.  I need to hit 3 keys at once to use the spacebar kill.  Hold Shift+W+D and run slightly sideways for sprint.  T + select is only active for a fraction of a second.  Everything works for a split second- mouse functions are fine. 

@Krueges3@Your_Imagin8ionI was suggested something to try and it seems to have done the trick for me.

Make sure Origin is closed completely and that the client isn't loaded, and then Navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin and then delete ONLY igo64.dll

( This file controls Origin in-game and by deleting it you are preventing Origin in-game becoming active even if the application settings shows Origin in-game as disabled )

Also ensure you have the newest AMD/Nvidia drivers installed.

Let me know how that works for you.

NOTE : 

When the above file is deleted,  You will be unable to launch it from Origin as the tile will just say "Finalising",  To launch the game you'll have to launch from your steam library ( if applicable ) or via the Desktop shortcut.

Same issue, happens on controller or keyboard and mouse. Lose all input while the game carries on as normal, Killing my enjoyment for the game as i cant go 5 minutes without it happening.

Mouse: Razer Viper Mini USB

Keyboard: corsair K70 USB

Headset: Corsair Void Pro USB With bluetooth dongle.

Speakers: Razer Nommo rgb USB

Edit : i still have the bug, so the pilot isn't the cause, for me at least.

Yeah I just logged in this morning and it happened to me in the first 30 seconds.

GPU driver was not a fix!

For me this happened in beta and the current game.  Last night I isolated my issue by pulling all the usb attached devices except mouse and keyboard.   Once I did that everything was back to normal - I then attached one device at a time and played for 5 minutes each time before putting the next usb device.  (webcam, microphone, external drive, etc)

The mouse and keyboard eventually lost input once I plugged in my ***headphone amp*** of all things and within a few mins I lost input for 30 seconds or so and then it came back.  Then once it froze again, I unplugged usb cable to the amp and I immediately regained control of my character, so it was definitely the usb amp for me.

I use a FiiO Q1 which shows as a SPDIF Interface (2- FiiO USB DAC Q1) in the speaker icon, when plugged in.  So now when I play BF2042 to avoid the 30second freeze every few minutes, I have to disconnect the amp and connect my headphone to the motherboard sound output port.

Frikkin weird conflict to have.  Hopefully it can help the developers isolate at least one of the freezing issues.

Only other peripheral I have is my headset (Logitech G Pro non wireless) connected.

Weird thing is, this only started happening yesterday to me, and it kept happening on and off all day. Never had this issue the previous days of early access. I did not change any of my keybinds yet and the only software I'm using for my keyboard is the Logitech G HUB, my mouse uses Corsair iCUE. 

The issue happens randomly, and I can't really pinpoint what is causing it on my end. I've had it happen when I've gone down, I've had it happen when I'm walking/in a gunfight, and I've also had it happen when I'm in a vehicle shooting. When the issue happens, it still repeats the previous input I was doing, so if I was shooting, it would keep shooting, same with walking. Lose all control of mouse and keyboard input in game when it happens, but I'm able to alt tab and use it outside the game just fine. Can't open chat, can't open menus, can't do Alt + Enter to change from full screen to windowed. Basically can't do anything when it happens and it randomly fixes its self after about a minute or so. 

For those still facing this issue.

For me, The issue was origin in-game,  Even though it was disabled within Origin itself,  I was still able to hit shift+F1 to bring up origin in-game which meant disabling it wasn't actually working.

Try this solution and see if that fixes the problem for you.

@LOLGotYerTagsThis might be the solution, removed dll and updated drivers and I can move now, thanks! Not sure which of the two that is the actual fix though. Edit: Could play for a while then it came back again. ☹️ 

@Paglamia I have the exact same issue. I use a uDac-3 and when the bug happens I can unplug the amp and play normally again. The moment I plug it back in the bug is back. Very frustrating because the sound without amp is much worse...

Deleting igo64.dll didn't work for me either.

Thanks for the info, unfortunately i tried this out and am still having the same issue.  The issue has the same effect as me rapidly hitting the same key over and over. 

Heya, try this:

Close origin

Navigate here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin

Delete the igo64.dll file.

If the system says the file is in use just restart the pc and try again.

Now try the game.

Tried deleting the in game overlay and I'm still getting this error unfortunately. Latest drivers aren't helping, new patch that just came out made the issue even worse for me. Ugh...
